The snows of Kilimandjaro

By wearing the name of the highest summit of Africa, the "Kilimandjaro" immediately shows its colours. And the promise is respected! You are in one of the most beautiful buildings of the Alps, in all of its splendour.

More than a hotel, it is a sort of hamlet, consisting of chalets gathered around the Relaxation Chalet, which displays its Spa and all its satellites, hairdressing salon, beauty salon, hammam, Jacuzzi, hydrojet... around a perfect swimming pool. As the rest of the architecture, it is surrounded with carved wood and stonework, in the most beautiful and purest Savoyard style.

Next door, the reception hall with its huge sloping roof which itself is the size of a chalet, is particularly warm, and the restaurant the "Cœur d'Or" with the new chef Alexandre Ongaro, who is mad about vegetables and cooks them by using state-of-the-art techniques with a surprising and delicious result.

Among the "Kilimandjaro" pleasures, apart from rooms and suites with their cosy luxury and an important part given over to high technology, there is the Stanley Bar, its cocktails, its brandy and its exceptional cellar.

One hardly wants to go further than the terrace where it is good to profit from the sun after lunch. But then, one would miss the most beautiful slopes in the world. Those of the "Domaine des 3 Vallées", the biggest and the best maintained. At the foot of the hotel and at the ski-room departure, you are on the Pralong slope. How beautiful life is in Kilimandjaro!
