It is a surprising and all in all delicious mixture. Imagine, during an evening, a lyrical spectacle or a symphonic concert on the river banks, a grotto, at the foot of a cliff or in the heart of a clearing ... And you will have an idea of the charm of the Festival of Labeaume, in Southern Ardèche.

All kinds of music rub shoulders in Labeaume and also all kinds of public. The great and true lovers of good classic music, as well as the madmen of bathing who come there every summer who also enjoy the pleasure of being able to take advantage of cultural activities of quality.
The disused quarries then become almost perfect amphitheatres to welcome to this delicious troglodyte village the many acoustic resources and recognized talents.
Such as the Prométhée Orchestra who gathers together young professional musicians. They will play for the occasion "Four Seasons" by Vivaldi and "Four Seasons of Buenos Aires" by Astor Piazzola. The pianist Jean-Marc Luisada will interpret Chopin and Brahms; the illustrious François-René Duchable at the piano and the narrator Alain Carré, will invest the Théâtre de Verdure, with a spectacle around "Les Lettres de Mon Moulin" by Alphonse Daudet.

Marc Loopuyt and the harpsichordist Catherine Latzarus, who recorded "Flamenco Baroco" in the church of Labeaume in 2006, will play "Les Deux Andalousies", at Rocher des Curés.
Since the creation of the festival, it is a sophisticated and demanding public who frequents the venues. Labeaume, "the place to be"!
