Full moon nights

For the 4^th consecutive year the "Aravis" resort organizes Full Moon evenings. The original idea comes from Philippe Gallay, the Tourist Office President, after a travel he made in Thailand. On the beach, he participated to a Full Moon Party including all kind of festivities and he brought back the concept at "La Clusaz".

As all good ideas, this one has been copied. Thus, this year "La Clusaz" decided to go further with the "Full Moon Blanches" (white full moons).

Skiers and all the others in the resort are requested to wear white clothes to get their kicks out on the Dance Floor set at the bottom of the slopes for a booming ski return. High up everybody plays the game, Ice Bar, concerts, we even have been told about an open air jacuzzi. At the swimming pool, open until 10.30 p.m. you will eat "moules frites" (mussels and chips) and celebrations will be going full swing on the snow front until the night ends.

For the occasion, "Les Deux Alpes" makes use of the glacier and there, with a DJ, everybody will be celebrating between 3200 m and 3400 m high, and dancing with ski shoes ! Evening fondue or raclette party at the "Glaciers" restaurant, then descent with the ski patrol to the summit of the crests to take back the cable car. Pedestrians could also participate to the festivities as tracked vehicle transfers are provided for them.

At the bottom, hot wine for all, included in the fixed price !

This kind of evening is accessible to each skier who just knows how to turn as the way back is done on Blue slopes. The only problem is the weather forecast. In case there is a snow storm, too much wind or if big clouds are running in the sky and prevent the moon from shining, then of course all is postponed to next time. But it is like that !
