River Cruises

Departures from Lyon are numerous. This is indeed the minimum for a city which has large and small rivers and a whole region to be discovered along the banks of each one of them.

You can get installed in a nice cabin, with double beds and wide bay windows, enjoy the comfort of the dining room, of walks on the deck at sunrise, or sunset, and take off at every stopping place to discover Beaujolais and the Hameau du Vin (wine hamlet), unique in France, with tasting-sessions
thrown in.

You will enjoy the Gallo-Roman museum of Vienne and the temple of Auguste and Livie; then you will discover the wines of Tain l'Hermitage and the northern Côtes du Rhône: Condrieu, Saint Joseph, and Hermitage... which count among the most elegant vintages of the vineyard. 

Then on to Arles, Avignon and Camargue, and return through the marvels of the Ardéchois. Caves and gorges of Ardèche, surprising medieval village of Viviers which is proud to own the smallest cathedral in France and which is, by the wealth of its construction, a real open-air Architecture Museum.

Return on board every evening, during these sophisticated cruises, which last a short week, and wonderful memories will be stored for later. 

Later in the season, cruise lovers can enjoy a stay on the Saône and can have dinner at one of most fervent admirers of the river which flows into the Rhône, Paul Bocuse himself who receives cruisers, to the sound of his barrel organs, in his famous and festive Abbey of Collonges.

And for those who want to enjoy the charms of sailing, just for a dinner or a weekend, there are Cabaret evenings in Lyon, and weekends between Vienne and the capital des Gaules.  Always go with the flow!
