Snow, in springtime

It is not a question of skiing on soft snow, not at all. Very often in springtime the mountains are at their snowiest. This is normal, the snow layer has thickened in the course of snowfalls all winter and one can assess the thicknesses which can go up to one metre seventy, at 1 800 metres alt. and two metres, at 2 500.

And as it is very cold during the night (it is not the month of August all the same!) between -7 and -10°C, you can be sure that the snow is holding well.

All the altitude resorts keep their slopes open up to the end of April, for all the Easter holidaymakers and for those who like to come for a nice little weekend break. There are less people than in February, the days are longer and the fixed prices tariffs start decreasing.

Up to - 20 % in certain resorts, fixed prices are offered for the fourth person, rent of equipment free for children ... In brief, promotions as if they were snowing!

And moreover, when the sun shines, it stays longer at its zenith and one can sunbathe on the terraces of the altitude restaurants, between two descents.

All this to say that one can be a thousand times surer to enjoy sweet and plentiful snow in the Alps, than summer temperatures under the coconut palms, so for the swimsuits, wait and see! Unless a small session in the Spa or at the edge of the swimming pool at the end of the day ... Yes!
