Romantic stay locations abound in the Rhône-Alpes area. Most of them are guest houses with exceptional surroundings and whose owners have arranged the bedrooms with very tastefully and who are very attentive towards their guests' well-being. Furthermore, they very often love good cooking, without which... Let us discover together some addresses...

Three days, November 11th week-end, is ideal for a lovers' break. If everywhere else it is the low season and difficult to find the ideal romantic stay for a week end, it is not the case in the Rhône-Alpes region.

In Drôme Provençale, for instance, the romantic weekend of the Mas du Chatelas is very successful with couples looking for a sublime moment for two. The Rousselet family does its utmost so that their guests profit from the charm of the three deliciously decorated bedrooms. You are welcomed with flowers, half a bottle of champagne, body milk and a flacon of massage oil.

At night, dinner by candlelight with Philippe's spice inspired cooking, he is an authentic passionate, who proposes scallops with curry, veal escalope with ginger, pears with spices and excellent local wines. The discovery of perched villages and the most beautiful Drôme Provençale sites is also a moment of happiness to be shared. Others will prefer to profit from the sauna and the massages by Lionel (additional cost). For an additional 15 euros, you can offer yourself the home-made brunch and for 35 euros more, the beautiful 'provencale' suite of the house. And there...

For a few months now, Yannick Vialle and Jacques Laurent have seen lots of English visitors to their Rochessauve castle in the Ardèche department, a wonderful site standing against a cliff and overlooking the Vercors, and which they have patiently rebuilt as it was almost a ruin. It is to be noted that their house was listed in the Top Ten of the most romantic locations in the English edition of ELLE magazine. So obviously!

Charming bedrooms furnished with objects patiently tracked down by Yannick, who was an antique dealer in his former life, menus elaborated from fresh products from the vegetable garden maintained by Jacques, who is also an amateur of rare plants; they are both very attentive to their clients. Who, as for the Mas du Chatelas, cannot stop praising their hosts.

Also to be noted, the Candie castle in Chambéry which, even though it is not a guest house, but an hotel, has a very well reputed table in a delightful location, without forgetting the Manoir de la Chesneraie in Saint Alban de Montbel , where, one of the bedrooms, and of course the most romantic one, opens its windows onto Lake Aiguebelette ! No need to get out of your bed!
